My wife’s getting ready to go on a mission trip into this area in a few weeks.
Here’s a live animated infrared map from the Weather Channel website showing the movement of the hurricane:

Or it could stay off shore and weaken until it’s pretty much a non event. Which is the forecast.

When will the day come that the national hurricane center drops a small camera boat into the eye of one of these things so that people can witness it’s wrath in open waters?
They said yesterday Rick was nothing to be concerned about.
AFAICS, this "Hurricane" is in the Pacific...
~~~~~~~~~~
Blasted AGW liars will do anything to make it appear that their FUD predictions are coming true!
Looks like it’s moving north and west and out into the Pacific...
Just stay away from Texas. We have had enough.
Since we are headed to Cabo on Monday, I have been watching the forecast very closely. It is highly likely the hurricane is going to make landfall on the Baja, the strength is unknown at this time but Cat 1-2 range is the current forecast. I am only worried about the rain they are supposed to get in Cabo. That area is quite arid and I fear that too much rain could be the biggest problem.
It’s expected to change direction and head for the Baja in the next two days.
Sounds like she might have her work cut out for her if a 4 comes in. Praying for Jesus to intervene.
I hope Texas does not get any spin off tornados! That is a BIG storm.
You bet!!!! No more hurricanes hitting Texas. We did our time.
Hurricane Rick is expected to decrease in strength well before
anticipated landfall near the southern Baja Peninsula Tues/Wed.
"...the second most powerful hurricane ever recorded in the Eastern Pacific."
Wow.
Hurricane Rick is second only to 1997 East Pacific Hurricane Linda, which had max sustained winds 185 mph, 902 mb.
Holy moly! That’s an ugly looking ‘cane....or isn’t it a typhoon??
