Jack Black is one of the least funny comedians around. Will Ferrell is another. How and why these 2 continue to get work is beyond me.

I automatically skip any movie these “so-call” actors are in.

Really? I thought “Tropic Thunder” was hilarious. A group of actors poking fun at themselves and other hollywood stereotypes. It was pretty entertaining.

I mostly agree with you about Will Ferrell, but Jack Black really does have talent, I thought he was excellent in School of Rock. It was on the strength of his performance in School of Rock that Peter Jackson cast him for King Kong, although I didn’t think he did nearly as well in that film, as the material simply didn’t really suit him. I thought Jack Black was good in Kung Fu Panda as well, although I didn’t like him much in Nacho Libre.

I’m not into Jack’s “normal” stuff, but when there’s music involved (like his Tenacious D or School of Rock) I really like it. And having been a metal fan in the 80s and an RPG player before that, I really really like him poking fun at the “it’s satanic” crowd.
