I always thought that she was the best part of his campaign. Don’t get me wrong. I like Fred but he lacked what is so often referred to as a fire in the belly

That he did. He only got in the race because a number of people he liked and respected talked him into it. But his heart wasn’t in it. He would have been a very good president, but you have to get elected to get the job.

He would make a good chief of staff for President Palin.

Is she really that liberal? Does anyone have a side-by-side comparison between the Democrat and Republican candidates?

She won’t drop out. The SteeleRNC is spending a million dollars on her.

The bigger question is if Hoffman starts polling second or even first, would the Republicans pull what’s-her-name out and endorse the Democrat? And no, I’m not joking.

Then conservatives need to step up and raise the equivalent amount for Doug Hoffman. Even in this poor economy, there is no excuse not to back conservatives with a real shot at winning. One hundred thousand conservatives on FR donating $10.00 each would do it.

I've always cautioned against third party candidates but by nominating this flaming leftist, the GOP has gone way over the line.

To pollywog, Parley Baer, and everyone else who has donated, good for you. I’m glad you took a stand for Doug Hoffman.

I wish it were so simple as one person but it is not. Pete Sessions from the House put it all on the Line for the Liberal here and refuses to admit his error. This guy is supposedly supposed to be an “ally” A conservative. Just shows even our “allies” when forced to choose between the establishment or conservatism will more than not betray us.
I think the first step is to support this candidate, Doug Hoffman. To strengthen the message from “RINO=Republican defeat and Democrat vicotry” to “RINO=Independent Conservative Victory” That will put conservatives in a stronger position when the leadership tries to tell us, “What are you going to do? Vote for the Democrat? Stay home?”

The parties are pouring big money into this one race for this one district. We conservatives, whether through the TEA Party movement, the 9/12 movement or just as a bunch of independent conservatives, need to support Hoffman.

I still favor rebuilding the Republican party as a more conservative party for the future. But they aren’t learning. This one seat in this one special election is an opportunity to deliver a message with a sharp blow.

That’s what I’m saying as well.

Please, send Hoffman a donation. I wish we would get behind him as strongly as we got behind Joe Wilson last month.

Markos Moulitsas, founder of The Daily Kos has endorsed Scozzafava. Dede Scozzafava has also been endorsed by NYSUT, the largest labor union in New York, and an affiliate of the National Education Association.

Scozzafava also holds these positions:

Scozzafava has also run in past elections on the Working Families Party (a progressive party associated with ACORN) line on the ballot.

This lady isn’t a RINO, she is a big “R” democRat.

There are also 17 RINOs in the house who have donated funds to this Liberal democRat's campaign. They include Boehner and Cantor. I don’t have a full list, but I will be looking for it. These RINOs should be targeted for elimination in the primaries next year.

I wish Jeri Thompson were the first lady right now.

Damn sight better than Arms Obama and “former” democrat Laura Bush.

Of course, the real issue here is the leftist Michael Steele RNC constantly opposing conservatives.

The RNC did NOT pick Dede as the nominee.

Newt endorsed the most leftist candidate in the race the ACORN candidate Dede Scuzzyflava.

Why do you have to talk-up a Marxist Democrat such as Ownes(or what ever the Democrat's name is) to make a point about the virtues of Hoffman?

The Democrat Nominee is endorsed by SEIU.

Is this Fred’s wife writing this column —— it’s a good analysis. Maybe we should be doing a Palin/Thompson ticket for 2012 ( Sarah/Jeri)

I think we can thank Jeri for turning Fred into a constitutionalist. If only Fred had met Jeri earlier in his career.

Who did?

“The RNC did NOT pick Dede as the nominee” Who did?

Local Republican county chairman (who might care more about lining their pockets than they care about ideology).

We are talking about a very isolated district. A district surrounded by Lake Ontario to the west, Lake Champlain to the East, an international boundary to the north and the Adirondacks to the southeast and the The Hill plateau snow belt to the southwest.

Certainly an ideal location for corruption.
