It looks like CNN has been so busy the past 24 hours running news stories on its website and on air about Meghan McCain's existential Twitter crisis, that Rick Sanchez's own Twitter page was only place where he could find the space to issue a mealy-mouthed apology for falsely attributing a racist quote to Rush Limbaugh.
Sanchez Tweets this evening:
i've know rush. in person,i like him. his rhetoric, however is inexcusably divisive. he's right tho. we didn't confirm quote. our bad.
What courage. It only took three days following his initial report and the Huffington Post to retract the quote first for Sanchez to admit "our bad"--of course, not before slamming Rush as "inexcusably divisive."
Does Sanchez really think it's okay to falsely smear a man as a lover of slavery on national TV and then not issue a full apology and retraction on national TV?
Why not on the network? At least twenty or so people will see it.
On the advise of his lawyer. The weenie thinks tweeting “I like Rush” makes it harder to prove malicious intent.
now crawl back under your rock and stay off the streets!
If you are going to post something from Mr. Sanchez, you need to include his full name ...
Richard “Hit & Run” Sanchez.
Thank you.
If I can't verify that claim, I'll tape a written retraction and apology to the bottom of my nightstand.
You just better hope no neighborhood squirrels read that!
Hope you’re prepared for a lawsuit from the National Defamation League for Squirrels, because you may not know it, but even SQUIRRELS have standards!
Sanchez should make his apology at the scene of his crime.
Hey Sanchez, was that how you apologized for running that guy over when you were DUI? You worthless liberal PoS...
I’LL have you know that Richmond Virginia just named the new “AA” Baseball team the “Flying Squirrels”!
