Local police are investigating a shooting incident, shots fired at the vehicle of Israels ambassador to Chile.
Ambassador David Dadon and a security agent were heading to the vehicle on Tuesday, in Santiago, the capital of Chile. Damage was reported to a window and splash guard behind one vehicle tire. Police were summoned immediately, and the determination was made that the damage was caused by gunfire. There were no eyewitnesses and people interviewed by police insist they did not see anything out of the ordinary. Police are investigating two possible angles, a terror incident or a stray bullet.
Gabriel Zaliasnik, president of the Chilean Jewish Community, is quoted by the daily Yisrael HaYom stating community leaders are concerned, calling the incident extremely serious, adding it may signal hostile elements are trying to bring the Mideast conflict to Chile.
Chile is home to a sizable Arab community and the Iranian diplomatic facility also provides cover for Hizbullah activities.
Foreign Ministry officials have confirmed details of the incident.
Prediction: Soon they will be entering the USA through our Open Southern Border.
Ping!
Addendum to your prediction: Obama's Justice Dept will meet them there with taxpayers dollars, free legal advise and blank voter registration cards.
Hugo Chavez and the deposed Honduran dictator both spout antisemitism to hispanics. Could there be a connection to the Chilean event?
That's not something the AP would tell you.

OBAMANOIDS will help islamists settling and spreading in USA if they are not stopped
Mr. RR just returned from there yesterday. Many parts of So. America have large Muslim populations.
Where was the car? There are a few “no go” areas around greater Santiago.
Chile has the largest Palestinian population outside of the middle east! It is a very closed group. It is usually watched like a hawk.
Over the past two or three weeks the guards around the big Israeli high school and the cultural center have been more visible than usual.
Same old ethnic hatred directed at Jews.
Lets us know if anything happens. We need to keep in touch. AP/Reuters do not report this stuff anymore.
I am in a very safe place! I should post exactly where my cave is! I have “friends” I’m going to do a little digging and see if I can find out more.

Occupied Jerusalem - paltoday - The Israeli Foreign Ministry confirmed Wednesday Chilean media reports stating that a bullet was fired Sunday at the vehicle of Israels Ambassador, David Dadon, smashing the windshield.
El Mercurio Chilean newspaper reported that the ambassador was not in the car during the incident, and that there were no injuries.
The ambassador found out that a shot was fired at his vehicle as he was about to leave for an event during evening hours.
He called the police and officers were dispatched to the scene closing it to traffic. The police launched an investigation into the issue, and also questioned the guard who was stationed at the entrance to the street, Israeli Ynet News reported.
The police found out that the bullet found in the vehicle matches that hole in the windshield.
The Chilean authorities tightened the security of the ambassador, and said that other steps will be taken to ensure his safety.
President of the Jewish Community in Chili, Gabriel Zaliasnik, said that he is concerned over the incident, and that he does not rule out that it could be a terror attack.
He claimed that the atmosphere towards the Jews had worsened due to what he described as false accusations made by the Palestinian federation after the latest war on Gaza.
Here is the latesrt I have. Looks like he was in a good area. I’m waiting for a call from a “friend”!

A gunshot was fired Sunday at the car of Israel’s ambassador to Chile, according to a report by Chilean newspaper El Mercurio. The ambassador, David Dadon, was not in the car at the time of the incident, and there were no injuries.
According to the report, Dadon discovered the damage caused to his car when he was about to leave for an event at around 7 pm.
The newspaper reported that the bullet had infiltrated the car’s rear windshield and was later found inside the car. Dadon called the police, and soldiers and police officers dispatched to the area closed it to traffic.
Police officer Fernando Vera told the newspaper that the police had launched an investigation into the incident and had also questioned the guard stationed at the entrance to the street, located in a prestigious neighborhood in the capital of Santiago.
Investigators later reported that the bullet found in the car matched the hole in the windshield.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the circumstances of the incident are unclear, but Israeli security sources are involved in the investigation. In addition, the ambassador’s security has been tightened and several other steps will be taken in order to ensure the safety of Israel’s representatives in the South American country until the event’s circumstances are made clear.
Jewish leader: A serious incident
Gabriel Zaliasnik, president of the Chilean Jewish Community, expressed his concern over the incident in an interview with El Mercurioc from Buenos Aires. “It appears serious, and encourages people who are trying to bring the Mideast conflict into Chile. We must be very careful during the investigation.”
Zaliansik did not rule out the possibility that the incident was a terror attack. He said that recent months have seen the atmosphere towards Jews in Chile worsen, following a series of false accusations on the part of the Palestinian federation over the events in the Middle East.
He added that he believed the police investigation would clarify the incident’s circumstances and reveal who was behind it.
“It can only mean bad things, nothing good,” he clarified. “We don’t want any place in the world, particularly Chile, to become a convenient place for such attacks like the ones which took place in Argentina.” He noted that no one had heard the actual gunshot
Must admit, I had no idea Chile had a sizable Arab community. They're everywhere, aren'y they?

Chilean Jews are Chileans residing in the country of Chile who are of either Jewish ancestry and observe the Jewish faith.
An estimated 75,000 [1] Chilean Jews live in the country, the majority live in Santiago and are predominantly found in higher-paying professions and all walks of public life.[2] The Chilean Jewish population decreased in the political turmoil of the 1970s and 1980’s, but their identity as Jews in Chile remains. Here is a list of some prominent Chilean Jews.
