The NY Conservative party says Dede was 15% conservative last year (several rats in the leg did better).
Your full post is mostly correct including the description that she was selected by a bunch of ignorant local party bosses. To be completely accurate though, one should point out several things from your above excerpted remarks. Dede has been backed in past elections by both the WF Party and the Conservative Party(simultaneously) which leads to the question, if Dede is radio active because she has received the WFP line endorsement, then why too isn't the Conservative Party also radioactive because they supported a WFP line candidate in the past?
Also, Dede's past conservative ratings (except for last year were around 50%) which again makes the Conservative Party suspect for endorsing such a middle-of-the-road candidate in the past.
Anyway as I pointed out on another Dede thread, third party runs don't usually work, it probably won't work in this case and I'm normally against them.
That said, this case is different. Three things;
Hoffman did try to seek the Republican nomination.
It wasn't the rank and file Republican voters who voted against Hoffman it was instead a small number of county party chairman who made the selection.
Dede's voting record has dropped below the 50% line which means of course that she votes statist more than she votes constitutionalist.
It’s true the Conservative party often backs RINOs and even “pro-life” democrats in some areas where democrats have influence with the local party (Staten Island for one). Seems to me it’s poorly run from top to bottom. Some NY area freeper (I forget who) called them a patronage outfit for the Long family.
Officially the chairman is against endorsing anyone endorsed by Working Families.
