My husband and I happen to have one contact who has some non-public knowledge of Obama. I have posted this on one other thread over a month ago and got it wrong.

This contact told us Obama’s IQ is 110. I thought he told us 120 but hubby says definitely this person said 110. Given who he is and his position, it is possible he does actually know this information. I can’t verify it but I do think it is the truth because of the source.

I’ve seen articles by columnists such as Charles Krauthammer calling him cunning and brilliant. I watch Obama speechifying and I don’t have trouble believing the 110 number.

A 110-120 IQ wouldn’t be surprising. Of course we are supposed to believe it’s 180. I think you can tell when people are truly brainy brilliant, as opposed to cunning brilliant. I’ve never thought of O in the former category.

110 is in the upper half of the normal range. It sounds about right to me, given Obama's mediocre verbal skills(absent the teleprompter) and his shallow judgment.

110 is a bit high for one that stutters and stammers when the teleprompter is in the powder room.

My guess is 90-95 tops.

He does get points for tenacity though!

Bush, on the other hand, had to exceed 135 to enter flight school.

It's not plausible to me that a person with a 110 IQ could graduate magna cum laude from the top law school in the country. Since the tests on the most important courses are all taken anonymously, there is no way to do this via "affirmative action". I also don't believe that Krauthammer could have engaged in dinner conversation with Obama for several hours and not detected that Obama was substantially less intelligent than himself if this was indeed the case.

Of course Obama is not a genius, but he is clearly a smart guy. Lots of top people in Washington including the military, and many foreign leaders have dealt with him one-on-one and not one of them has come out and said the Emperor has no intellectual clothes. I don't believe that you friend's "inside information" is accurate.

I do agree with the point in the article that there are different kinds of smart. But Obama is not missing out on all of these.
