I love how the victims seem so bewildered at what to do, they are always evaluating the circumstances or in talks with Hugo. This is not his first entreprenurial forte of this sort.
If I were the franchise owner, I would clear the guests cut the water lines and set the place on fire as I went tearing out of the country.

One of these days one of these corporations are going to hire mercs to go after Venezuela's oil fields, ports, etc., and threaten to continue it unless the property is returned. The only thing Chavez understands is force and until someone stands up to him expect more of these "seizures".

Sunoco is the Venezuelan Oil outlet here in the states yes? So why not have the US confiscate those assets in return? Or can Hilton sue Venezuela for damages?

I had a similar thought myself. How can Chavez expect the hotel owners to continue to provide services without making a profit?
It would be a huge loss for Hilton to cut and run but that's exactly what I would do. Let the little dictator run the joint.
