After being held against her will for 18 years, much of it in a backyard hell straight out of a horror film, Jaycee Dugard wants the world to know:
"I'm so happy to be back with my family," she tells PEOPLE.

She’s beautiful............
Truly! Well, you know all that “God works in mysterious ways” stuff...
Hate to say it, but she doesn’t look much like the “age progression” photo they had of her. Does that ever do much good in locating a child years later?<<This is actually a question of curiosity, I’m not trying to be malicious or snide.
The kidnapping for 18 years didn’t do her in.. but being on the same cover with that sleezebag letterman just might...
This girl is a survivor. She is not the person she would have been had this real-life nightmare never occurred. The scars will always remain, but she seems to be able to more than manage. Her spirit is, simply put, impressive. I wish her love, support, and happiness. God knows, she deserves it.
What a beautiful young woman.........I just hope the press will leave her alone.
The press are no different from her kidnappers. They just have cameras.
Well, one thing, and this is just a hypothetical, she might actually enjoy the attention.
Remember, she spent years in isolation. If she can make a few bucks selling her story and making appearances so that she and her kids can be secure, I’m all for that!
....I hope she makes a ton of money from People/book deals/movie deals ect and gets to remain in private....so far they’ve done a good job of shielding her....it’s too bad that her captors didn’t violently resist arrest so that they could have been shot to death.
Bump.
Now, there’s a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize if I ever saw one.
It seems that she has maintained her sanity in spite of horrific odds, and still does not seem malicious in spite of it all.
But then again I don’t know what the reason is for the Nobel prize anymore.
She reminds me a little bit of a younger Jodie Foster. Considering what this young woman went through, she has a great smile. Looks like she’s made the decision not to let her kidnappers dominate the rest of her life. Good for her.
This young woman has been to **** and back. My hope is that she has enough support to somehow move past her nightmare and find peace and quiet and a happy life. Prayers up for her and her family.
She’s a beautiful woman. I hope she has a happy, fulfilling, and long life with family that love her.
I concur.
