"Some arrive at Veterans Memorial two hours early"
Sometimes Ernest Hayden Jr. forgets he's part of a global recession that has cost millions of workers their jobs.
"You compartmentalize and think it's just you," said the 44-year-old Reynoldsburg resident, who was laid off by Limited Stores in May after 23 years with the company.
Hayden was reminded yesterday at the Project Hire job fair that he's not alone, as he took his place at the end of a slow-moving line.
"It's overwhelming," he said as he stood with about 500 other job seekers. "You get self-absorbed and then you come to an event like this and it just hits you in the face."
Been to couple - stopped going as got nothing from them
Only “employers” who show up at them are these “financial”
products Ponzi scammers who want want you to sell their
stuff and recruit others to sell. Supposed to get kickback
from what others sell.....
I was approached by them recently. They said there were openings in my area and they were looking to hire. One of them had a card from “human resources” and the other was the “vice president”. I checked out their company and it is an MLM recruiting scheme. The average salary paid last year was $6K.
Thanks.
