These women may rescue flagging Republican Party (Gnarly chunk vomit)
Houston Chronicle ^ | 10/13/09 | Kathleen Parker

WASHINGTON — As the Republican Party continues its pilgrimage through the desert, its leaders may be missing the oasis for the vale of tears.

The answer to the party's woes isn't a revamped Web site (GOP.com) offering — wowser! — really cool social networking platforms.

The answer won't be found in the sudden realization that 83 percent of young people 18 to 24 have an online profile — or other late-breaking revelations that merely reinforce the perception of the GOP as woefully behind the curve.

The answer is … drum roll, please … women.

If the GOP is really serious about expanding the party, it's time for the men to hush and let the pros take over. As the saying goes: If you need something done, hire a busy woman. Or, as the White House Project puts it:

“Add women, change everything.”

In the past few months, several conservative women have emerged as candidates and critics to challenge the notion that the GOP is the party of men. They're also putting to rest any thought that Sarah Palin is the female face of the party.

The McCain campaign had the right idea; it just picked the wrong woman.

She’ll be swimming in the jillions with her new book, even more if she writes more books. The family will well be able to afford going to Washington or follow her all over if it has to while she campaigns. That is the least of her hurdles.

SOME people...are sooooo out of touch!

SOME people...are soooo jealous! Kathleen needs to let go of her Palin hatred. It really is getting old.

BTW, I don't want any part of the Republican party if it is designed ala John McCain, Bob Dole, Olympia Snowe, Lindsey Graham, or any other pretend Republican. I would rather have a CONSERVATIVE who sticks by their principles and doesn't sniff the DC air!

Parker was a Romney shill, now she is shilling for Romney backed women and against the biggest threat to Romney, Sarah Palin.

Keep your eye on the ball kids, there is a plan afoot to buy the GOP out right.

"If the GOP is really serious about expanding the party, it's time for the men to hush and let the pros take over."

Let me know, when the Republican Party is no longer one of two political henhouses for the same anti-family, anti-American pool of spoiled, prideful, globalist, man-hating constituents.

The GOP calls me all the time asking for donations. I told them I only give to SarahPac.

Me too. Apparently they are hearing that quite often, and are not getting all the dollars they expected. Hence all the new rebranding efforts, web sites, media assaults on conservatives, etc.

I do believe they have awakened a sleeping giant, and filled him with a great resolve.
