......The Archbishop of Canterbury called for an end to economic growth to save the planet......

Balderdash!!!!

When clerics embrace a watered-down version of the Christian faith, loaded with heresies and prostrating before modernism and islam, they have nothing to offer but politics. And even their politics is nonsense and delusion!!!!

Anyone under the jurisdiction of this pseudo-bishop and those like him is well-advised to run far, far away. Run all the way home—to Holy Orthodoxy!!!!

That last brings back a memory.

It was 1972 and my fraternity house always hosted a bunch of kids from a local orphanage for a Christmas party. That year, unfortunately, the brother playing Santa Claus happened upon a bottle of Beaujolais while getting changed. He polished it off, struggled into his outfit, and staggered down the stairs. Upon seeing the kids he called out “Ho F**king ho, kids!”, missed the bottom step and fell flat on his face. That was the last time the orphanage showed up at the house.

From then on he had a new nickname. Uninformed persons always thought that we called him “Ho” because his name was “Jose” ....

I'm sure he's only targeting the developed nations in this call. I can't imagine anyone demanding that Zambia or Suriname (or North Korea or Cuba) de-industrialize.

You know, today's lefties sound more and more like 1930's-era right wing Southern agrarians all the time.

Oh, it is absolutely true. Massachusetts Eta chapter of Phi Kappa Theta, Christmas of 1971, actually, now that I think about it.
