MOSCOW, October 13 (RIA Novosti) - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said after talks with Russia's foreign minister on Tuesday that neither country is seeking to impose sanctions against Iran under the current circumstances.
Clinton said sanctions over Irans controversial uranium enrichment program would be premature, and that Russia was being extremely cooperative in the work we have done together on the issue.
Lavrov said Russia is in principle very reserved on sanctions, as they rarely produce results.
He said sanctions should only be used when all diplomatic means have been exhausted, and that in the situation with Iran, this is far from the case.
Lavrov also said the U.S. and Russia had identical positions on the issue.
We are not asking anything of each other on Iran, because it would be ridiculous to make requests on an issue where our positions coincide, he said.
However, Clinton said that sanctions over North Korea's nuclear program would remain in place.
"We have absolutely no intention of relaxing or offering to relax North Korean sanctions at this point whatsoever," she said.
Clinton will later meet with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. Before her arrival in Russia as part of a European tour, Clinton had visited Switzerland, the U.K., and Ireland.

We need to observe barf alert rules, especially in the morning...
The whole left hates Israel and is a friend of their enemies.Communists and Islamics at work to try to destroy Christians and Jews world wide. They are at war with the God of Israel who created all things by Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Indeed, the heather are raging.
PS 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
PS 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
PS 2:3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
PS 2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.
PS 2:5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
PS 2:6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
PS 2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
PS 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
PS 2:9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
PS 2:10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
PS 2:11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
PS 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Former UN ambassador John Bolton has been shaking his head over the waiting on both Iran and North Korea, and he has been doing it for years now. They have been playing us like a fiddle while they build the bomb and we still are waiting.
All we are doing is putting off the inevitable, and it will be harder and harder the longer we wait, especially on Iran.

Obama = Blinky the Clown
Hillary Clinton, sock puppet...
Russia is funneling weapons to the Taliban to fight us in Afghanistan and funneling weapons to Iran who is subverting our mission in Iraq.
"Clinton, however, reiterated that time is running short for Iran to respond. "The time for action is now. The opportunity will not remain open indefinitely," she said.
Today the tone is a bit different:
"Clinton said sanctions over Irans controversial uranium enrichment program would be premature, and that Russia was being extremely cooperative in the work we have done together on the issue."
If you were one of the Iranian leaders what would you make of this? IMHO you would see WEAKNESS AND INDECISION on the part of the Obama Administration. And you would be right. Another obvious conclusion you could draw: American Foreign Policy is being orchestrated in Moscow. And you would be right about that as well. What a sad time it is for this country.
