If you abandon the creed of “First, do no harm”, So Will I.
Somewhere, an insane asylum is missing its patient.
The problem is that all the organs interact, if one is out of whack the rest follow.
Those in the last stages of CHF or COPD have nothing that works properly. As do those dying of cancer etc.
And then there’s the age factor. The majority of say hospice patients are very elderly. That too figures into transplant viability. There is an age cut off.
I propose we harvest their sick organs for disposal so the leftist contagion doesn't spread.
Having been involved in organ donation from the brain dead patient’s side, this is an ABOMINATION.
It is difficult enough for family members to render this heart wrenching decision. I cannot fathom them just being told it was for the “greater good”.
This would be the highest form of evil...
akin to being sacrificed on the healthcare altar to the “gods of government” !
As "donor" never, but as "recipient"? Heh! Don't get in their way!!

Nothing about this man, betrays his 'worst side' nor the evil it speaks to. And, worse; as Obama advisors/aides and czars go; Sunstein's 'ethics' are not unique. Am sure wherever these 'like-minded' gather; the conversation is rich. . .
What we see, so far; appears less than a 'hairs width' from the worst of Hitler's nazi medical protocols. Sunstein would surely defend the use of anesthesia. Don't you think?
(Clearly; he does at least; share his story.sigh)
I think you mean “euthanasia”, but your point is well taken.
This is a horrifying slippery slope.
How long do you think it will be before they decide that harvesting healthy organs from people considered to be social liabilities (such as prisoners and institution patients) for implant into valued citizens (based on their political correctness) is discussed?
Larry Niven discussed this in his “Known Space” series. China actually began the trend of harvesting organs from executed prisoners. Hell, they have even designed special “execution vans” which are actual disassembly surgical suites that ensure nothing is wasted.
We are getting real close to the end of that “awkward stage” Claire Wolfe talked about.

Hi. Could you take me off your ping list. It’s good stuff, but too much of it for my available time. Thanks. Mark.
Visualize being in the hospital and being a tissue match for another patient who is a prominent politician or the head of the SEIU.
No. . .acutally, I meant anesthesia! Was referencing the nazi MO of medical experimentation where anesthesia was often not used. Doubt too; that they were so kind as to offer a 'mercy killing'; but thanks for comments. . . It IS the worst of slippery slope.
As for China; yes, we have been hearing for years of their prescriptions for insuring 'organ availability'. It is all too macabre really; and yet; these ideas - like Sunstein's - share the same rootbed.
We can and should be, horrified; but we should not be surprised; save for our shock at the positions of authority, these base Utilitarians now claim in our own Government; thanks to Obama,Inc.
