(AP) President Nicolas Sarkozy's 23-year-old son is angling for a key job overseeing billions of euros in commerce at France's top business district - a job critics say he does not deserve.
Jean Sarkozy's conservative backers insisted Monday that he's qualified to chair EPAD, the quasi-governmental agency that manages the La Defense financial district on the western outskirts of Paris. The sprawling complex of skyscrapers houses the headquarters of some of Europe's biggest companies, such as oil giant Total and bank Societe Generale.

If it’s not outright nepotism, or third parties trying to curry favor by this appointment to an unexperienced (where have we heard this before...) 23-year-old, by all means - just wait and see how many of these big companies stick around under the new regime...(depending on their pain-tolerance level - but then, they’ll just pass the pain on to *whoever*).
Doesn’t pass the smell-test any which way.

Icky little gnome, Sarkozy. You threw your wife under the bus for eye candy. Now watch your wife’s children reap what you have sewn.
If you would condemn Sarkozy for that, you’d have to condemn 49% of the males in the US that did the same thing.
Sarkozy’s marriage does not detract from that fact that he’s a smart cookie and not being taken in by the moron in our White House.
