The Shriverization of an already politically unstable Ahnold.
They did...they just forgot to (conveniently) erase the R after their names.
The US Congress controls interstate commerce last time I checked, so ordering ammo from out of the state can't be legally prohibited by a CA law.
if CA law requires a CA license to sell ammo, then they can ban non-CA vendors who don’t have a license. Also, the CA law requires face-to-face transactions with, I think, fingerprints and signatures.
I don’t expect the Ninth to overturn this, and it’ll be decades getting to SCOTUS.
Earlier today, I sent an email to John G. Matsuka, President of the Initiative & Referendum Institute at the University of Southern California asking him if anyone has started a petition to overturn Arnold’s signing into law AB962 controlling ammo sales in California. If and when he responds, I will notify everyone!
Only if the US Congress has given them power to control interstate commerce in this area. Somehow, I doubt they have.
We go through our ammo just like can goods. Use before the due-date.
From what I’ve heard, you can seal the primers with finger-nail polish. As far as moisture getting in from the bullet side, I don’t know.
I found some old .22s that were probably over 30 years old and they had some kind of wax all over them that clogged up my .22 pistol. They still fired though.
They do this because they issue ammo sales licenses to in-state FFLs only.
I don't think Congress has swooped down on MA.
The link below is from masscops, a police blog.

“Since MA wont allow us to buy our range ammo online, does anyone know of any places around Boston that sell cheap ammo?”

SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS:
1. AMMUNITION:
California - no tracer or incendiary ammo.
Massachusetts, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City - ammo only to 01, 02, 07, or 08 FFLs.
Washington DC - no ammo deliveries.
Illinois - FOID card must be on file for ammo deliveries.
...............
Looks like many places restrict online/mail ammo sales. Maybe that will be another big Supremes case once we get Chicago settled in our favor!
I’ve got some ~25 year old civvie-spec Federal Match that I got with a .308 rifle that was kept in someone’s closet. It still fires just fine, and the chronograph says it’s still to spec in terms of velocity.
“Yep, if you live there.........you should consider getting out...”
I am positive that there are reasons (job, family, etc.) for living in California but if I were so attached, I would be looking for ways to unattach myself and get out of there. I love freedom too much.
Well, you've heard of "roid rage".....
Apparently with Arnie we should say instead:
"...that stupid Kennedy-marrying, communist roid-wimpish ex-bodybuilder..."
Where are you at in the ‘middle’?
I’ll keep you in mind if we are ever lucky even to escape Mexifornia! It likely won’t be any time soon, but seeing some beautiful states filled with Americans just might make my husband reconsider soon. I was hoping this trip would plant the seed. ;)
That’s a new anacronym for me.
What does it stand for?
Buy Lots Of Ammo Today!
It was pretty common here until ammo became hard to get.
I may be wrong but I believe NYC also prohibits mail order ammo sales.
Right in the center........Missouri. :) My beloved state does have a dem in the governor's chair though. So far no radical movement however, our congress is out of session until Jan. We need more good people so you and hubby........"come on down"! Ozarks are breathtakingly beautiful.
That isn’t surprising.
Actually, the entire Earth is in Sector 2814, not to mention our Solar System and many others. It's an obscure bit of comic book trivia.
