Hey, they are used to national health care, so the US was right in sending them to Canada.
Note “Bob C’s” comment at the end of the article - yes folks - IT IS BUSH’S FAULT!!!!!
Molehill on its way to becoming a mountain. Tempest in a teacup. Much ado about nothing. etc.
I am sorry but the passenger was a German citizen - i.e DOCUMENTED.
We don’t accept those...
Obama’s fault!
East German, no doubt.
So they were only 2 hours out from Havana when they had the problem? There were a lot of places closer than NY.
The US does and has always allowed medical/emergency landings regardless of the country of origin/destination of the flight. We are not getting the entire story from this article...
Ummmm this is about a piss poor article. No details just that on the top of their descent at JFK the diverted to Toronto. By Whom, why etc etc.
The food is terrible.
It comes loosely saran wrapped for your eating pleasure.
The cabin was totally unsupervised and chaotic the whole flight.
The movie was vintage Soviet and was about a man who broke the law but was lovingly treated by the Soviet justice system.
Bleh.
I’d like to see some actual evidence that they were denied landing in an emergency.
Notice how much misinformation all these Europeans have about our healthcare system? Thanks a lot, Barry. With all the crap this administration has blamed on Pres. Bush, fifty years from now people who weren’t even alive at the time will be chanting “Bush’s fault” when anything goes wrong.
A German gets sick after a deviant sexual visit to the third world.
Color me unconcerned.
The phrase “when the crew talking very good English” raises a red flag for me. That’s a very strange construction for a native speaker of the tongue.
Something’s not right here.
Very odd. How’s this for a theory? Flight diverts towards JFK, but then some big-shot US citizen on board starts complaining that he’ll be in trouble for visiting Cuba, perhaps on business, if he has to land in the USA. So the flight diverts to Canada instead.
