So, if the Dems put some language in the bill that excludes abortion, the bishops have no problem with selling almost 300 million people into communist slavery just to give free health care to the “47” million that don’t have it (or CHOOSE not to have it) now?

Somehwat unidimensional opposition. The bill amounts to elderly “genocide” ALSO. It also involves communism by taking away health benefits from people who paid for them all their lives. It also involves thievery and treason as it allows illegal invaders who never paid into the system to steal from it.

It's easier to stand on the sidelines and criticize those of us who are “in the fight” than to actually “get in the fight” now isn't it!
I was just pointing out that there’s a lot more evil in this bill than just abortions. Communism kills more people than abortion and the bishops should be opposed to all of it. Even if they “win” and get abortion funding removed, it will just get slipped back in under some “health of the woman” provision. To believe anything else is naive.
I don’t hate Catholics. My own church leadership isn’t doing squat to stop this bill, but they also aren’t sending out press releases. The story was about your bishops, so that was what I commented on. When an announcement from the UMC hits FR saying that it opposes only part of the bill but is cheering for the communist slavery parts, then I will comment on their hypocrisy.
You know, you don’t have to insult people that have an opinion you don’t like. I just wish your Bishops AND my Bishops would take a stand against this monstrosity.
