"And former Vice President Al Gore, .. prize was "extremely well deserved."

If anyone had any doubts about "Global Warming" being a complete and total load of crap, Al Gore's statement should dispel them. What a phony.

Former President Jimmy Carter,.. "bold statement of international support for his vision and commitment."

Underlying statement: "The Nobel Committee isn't racist, unlike the International Olympic Committee."

But news of Barack Obama's award Friday drew a rebuke from the Republican Party chairman, ridicule from conservative bloggers, and even gripes from some liberals who think he hasn't done enough

Here at my job it is "drawing" hysterical laughter.

RE :"and even gripes from some liberals who think he hasn't done enough to wind down the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan."

There is a lot of potential to have fun with this, at progressives expense.

What’s he going to do with the $1.4 million in prize money? I heard that a reporter shouted that question to him as he turned his back to walk into the Oval Office. Also, it appears that Robert Gibbs never addressed the issue during his daily press briefing. It’s a political no brainer that he won’t keep the money, I just wonder why the delay in saying what will happen with the cash.

Graphic showing the recent winners of the Nobel Peace prize award. Obama has sensationally won the Nobel Peace Prize, just nine months into his term, with the jury hailing his "extraordinary" efforts in international diplomacy and to hasten nuclear disarmament. (AFP Graphics)

The vote was taken after only 11 days in office.

I tuned into our local Seattle area Liberal Talk radio this morning just to see what th eliberals were saying about it, and what a shock, the host, Bill Press, was saying this is a mistake. That he hadn’t done anything yet to deserve it.

Many of the callers agreed with him.

Americans in Harlem, NY greeted President Barack Obama's surprise winning of the Nobel Peace Prize Friday with joy and derision. The stunning decision left Americans of all stripes arguing whether Obama had done enough, nine months into his presidency, to stand alongside Nelson Mandela and other Nobel heroes. (AFPTV)

Amusing stuff going on over on the DU. The comments on it are over 500, and every time someone post something about why he should not be the receiver of it, he gets attacked, by the rest.

Obama has also been named the newest Holy Roman Emperor by Pope Benedict. At least that’s what Rush said and who know better?

This is just a sign of how desperate the international Socialists (and their high priests the persons of the Nobel Committee) are to legitimize their dying movement.

The backlash will be twofold: First, anything that leftists say from now on will not be taken seriously. Second, everyone knows this is affirmative action, and it will induce much resentment at the whole affirmative action movement.

Unfortunately, this desperation on the part of the Left is sooner or later going to lead to conflict.

Today was not a good day for these reasons.
