Then there was the SNL skit about how he’s really done nothing, as POTUS. There was actually, for a few days, a real possibility that he would be dragged (kicking and screaming, for sure) back to Earth. Much as Clinton was after the 1994 election debacle.

My guess is that this is going to put his ego back into the stratosphere. And drag the chances of Obama completely overreaching in a spectacular way, along with it.
