Schwarzenegger Backs Obamacare

WASHINGTON -- California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has issued a statement saying he supports President Barack Obama's goals of overhauling the country's health care system to hold down costs and improve quality.

The statement doesn't endorse any specific piece of legislation. But Schwarzenegger says he appreciates Obama's partnership with the states and thinks lawmakers from both parties should "move forward and accomplish these vital goals for the American people."

Schwarzenegger's comments come as the White House and Senate Democrats are touting other statements of support from Republicans _ though most have been accompanied by various caveats. Former Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson, former Senate Republican Leader Bill Frist and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg have all weighed in as well.

Arnold was probably always a liberal, but sleeping with that Kennedy skeleton has helped him any.

AH-Nold wants more taxes, more national debt, fewer jobs, fewer choices, rationing and denial of advanced treatment protocols, saddle his own state with more debt to implement ObamaCare? Yup, sounds about right. Idiot.

Not a surprise. He’s been licking up to Obama ever since he won.

Also, I suspect that Obama is dangling the faintest shadow of a possibility of federal stimulus help to California in its budget crisis. Remember how bill clinton bought California in 1996.

He is thinking like a governor who’s state is in the deep red. What he wants is to spread his state’s massive illegal immigrant debt out among all the states to relieve California of a huge burden.

I doubt if he and his family will ever have to worry about medical costs or quality like you or I will, this is just for the commoners.

We’re better be keeping names on this one.
This legislative abomination is opposed by a significant majority of Americans and those politicans who choose otherwise are counting on short memories when we pay our tax bills, wait for critical health care and visit granny resting place (to pay our respects).

Today’s San Diego paper puts the cost of Obamacare in California at $8 billion in cost to the state of California. $8 billion. Hey Arnold, we can’t afford it!

Anybody here actually against the GOALS of holding down costs and improving quality ? This is a NON-STATEMENT STATEMENT. Political gibberish. Ike loved to pull this trick and was the master of the art.

“Anybody here actually against the GOALS of holding down costs and improving quality ?”

Well, I’m not opposed to the goals as such, but I am opposed to the president personally, and the federal government generally, pursuing said goal. And that’s what Arnold said he supports (according to the story): Obama’s goals. Which implies he supports Obama taking action, which I wholeheartedly oppose.

That's because California is bankrupt. He'll take any free handout he can get at this point. (Screw the rest of us. He married a Kennedy. He'll do just fine.)
