"There were instances where Muslims in the U.S. openly celebrated 9/11/01 - but no instances where Muslims protested the terrorist acts."

My point. Thank you. I'm not the only one who saw that.

Report: Global Muslim population hits 1.57 billion

Since islam is mostly just a vast criminal enterprise, I doubt whether it will ever succeed in taking over the brains of every single human being on the planet. There are lots of people who are not okay with beheading or otherwise murdering people who don't agree with them, and there always will be.

They are in the minority. Just because a member of the KKK who happens to go to Baptist services on Sunday morning goes out one night and gets involved in a lynching, does that mean all Christians, Southerners, and Baptists are religious wackjobs as well?

There have also been no instances where Muslims in the U.S. have registered their disapproval of Islamic extremists on any scale larger than a few individuals since 2001. Something that I believe speaks volumes about that so-called religion of peace.

You hit the nail on the head. No more needs to be said.

"They are in the minority."

The why weren't there large protests from the muslim "community" post 9/11? Don't try to sell me a gold brick.

WTF? just shut up. It's obvious that you don't know Jack, much less his family (sur)name.

Sometimes silence is compliance, sometimes silence isn’t.

For instance, I am a Roman Catholic and my religion (and common sense) tells me that murder of an unborn child is an abomination. Furthermore, I know that President Jennings inviting Obama to Notre Dame earlier this year was scandalous. I strongly disapproved of this act.

However, I did not physically protest the decision- I wrote e-mails and alerted others to the situation, but I didn’t take my disgust to the streets. What Jennings and the other clowns at Notre Dame did certainly does not speak on my behalf or on the behalf of other legitimate Catholics.

Post 9/11 many people "took to the streets". As to email and other forums muslims were strikingly silent unless it was in support. Wake up.

In other news:
Christ continues to exceed expectation for conversions of free will.

In fact, studies have shown more people willingly commit to God without coercion than muslims with knives.

That makes no sense. If something is wrong you speak up.

“Pew officials call the report the most thorough on the size and distribution of adherents of the world’s second largest religion behind Christianity, which has an estimated 2.1 billion to 2.2 billion followers. “

they might but....DEEP woods town resident here. (pistol/rifle ‘range’ right out of my back door) if ‘they’ come they will be met by a small town populace well armed with the ‘evil’ black weapons plus various ‘hunting’ arms. who knows for sure who would ‘win’? the bottom line is to at least go down swiningin’, no cowering. we hope it does not ever come to a violent event but we are at least ready, or more than most. I am sure there are hundreds if not thousands of these small ‘northern exposure’ type towns across America. you might be surprised. stay safe. have a plan. move OUT of the city if at all possible. this old timer would never consider going back....especially now.

Huh? You acted in a demonstrable manner, showing your opinion and disapproval.

Where is that kind of action from the followers of Allah and their desire for a reformation and reconciliation toward other religions?

No, but the Bible forbids murder. The Koran commands it. Big difference.

the silence of Muslims is not compliance.

It is a Complicit approval

Done, done, and done. A while ago. Pretty isolated here with a mountainside to my back. My own property and no one gets here unless I ask them to come. Even then, I got to go a few miles to meet them because you just can’t get here from there, if you know what I mean.
