Chaotic Scene at Cobo, Thousands Seek Aid

DETROIT (WXYZ) - Thousands of people jammed into Cobo Hall and lined up around the building to seek out housing aid from the federal government. It quickly turned into a mess with reports of fights and nearly a stampede.

People started lining up around midnight, but the real chaos broke out near the front entrance that leads to the ballroom.

Thousands of people jammed into too tight of a space. There were reports of fights and people passing out in the crowd.

I hear you. My dad had to move out of state also to find work. I’m in school right now and I work, I don’t make a lot of money, but at least I’m not living off the government trough. I can’t tell you how many Detroit people come to my bar and pull out a bridge card while they are looking for a driver’s license and then order an $8 blue motherf*cker or a $9 shot of patron and my taxes are paying for it! and they don’t even tip either. I F-ING HATE LIBERALS TOO!
