An 18-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries Tuesday when he tried to rob another man at a midtown carwash and was shot by the victim, Tucson police said. The incident occurred at a self-service carwash on East 22nd Street near South Beverly Avenue just before 4:30 p.m., said Sgt. Diana Lopez, a police spokeswoman.
A 50-year-old man was washing his car when he was approached by the 18-year-old man, Lopez said. The younger man pulled out a gun and attempted to rob the older man, she said. The older man pulled out his own gun and shot the 18-year-old.
The younger man ran away and got into a vehicle that was being driven by another person. A short time later, the 18-year-old man showed up at a hospital with life-threatening injuries, she said. The 50-year-old man was not injured. He was being questioned by police.
The driver of the car who took the wounded man to the hospital also was in police custody.

the obummer, when sen of Il, tried to get a law passed that would criminalize anyone defending oneself, even in their homes -
he'd rather the innocent get killed - well, come to think of it, in Chi town, what's the dominant race of law breakers? (Guess he didn't take into account that the crimes/murders of blacks is mostly black on black)
The best reason for being able to carry: "When seconds count, the police are only minutes away."
In far too many cases, by the time the police arrive, they're just in time to be a clean up crew.

There was nothing “feel good” about this. He got blood all over his nice clean car.

Picture in hyperlink is related to a follow-up story lower on the same page.
It is NOT a mugshot of the carwash criminal.

Judging by the knot on his forehead, it looks like this wasn’t his 1st run in.

There was nothing feel good about this. He got blood all over his nice clean car.And now he has to clean his gun. That's time, solvent, swabs, and oil.

The mugshot is of a perp in the second story, not the carwash robbery attempt. (I read the story.)

The only problem is the guy with the ugly forehead bump is NOT the carwash criminal.
That pic is related to a different crime story on the same webpage.

Judging by the knot on his forehead, it looks like this wasnt his 1st run in. That's probably a skin (sebaceous) cyst, not a "knot". Notice the absence of surrounding swelling or discoloration.
Beyond that, I agree that this is certainly not his first run it.
