Sounds like spin to me. Gold going up on “economic optimism”?

Leave it to Al Reuters to come up with a line of BS like this!

I liked this part: "The dollar slumped as the optimism diminished safe-haven demand for the U.S. currency."
It's not slumping because everyone is abandoning it, no... it's a sign of a strong economy!

"Sounds like spin to me. Gold going up on economic optimism?" It means we're coming out of depression and headed for hyper-inflation?

Seriously, I thought gold was the mile markers of the road to hell? During inflation, asset prices increase. Gold as well as the value of companies having assets, especially overseas assets increases.

It means we're coming out of depression and headed for hyper-inflation?I'm sure there'll be a welcome dollop of stagflation before we head into hyper-inflation.

Expletive deleted. I swear this is getting beyond belief. These people are so in the tank. It is like the generals when a looney Hitler moved phantom divisions around on the map saying “Yes, Mein Fuhrer.”

Gold and stocks streak higher because of a US Dollar in free fall.

A crashing dollar is now a sign of optimism... I’m speechless. There is no lie too big for these people. The world is being overrun by mindless lunatics.

I was looking for the /s, but then I saw it is Reuters dung, needing a /p for propaganda or /L for lie.
