“Do not post to me” - Repost

We've received many requests from freepers requesting that other freepers not post to them. There are several problems with this.

1. It's impossible for us to enforce.
2. We don't have the time to enforce these requests.
3. We don't have the software to keep track of these requests.
4. Thick skin helps.
5. Ignore the poster, if you don't reply, they won't reply.

Free Republic does not need a bozo filter, bozo filters are for wimps.

Final note: Trolls, troublemakers, disruptors, forum pests, malcontents, RINOs, liberals, stalkers, et al, would continue posting to (harassing) someone after being asked to stop. Conservative FReepers would not.

Personally I've seen real dimwits engage is spitting contests and then whining their way out.

Why is it I never have that problem?

First of all when an idiot or ignoramus flames one of my posts, I consider the source and ignore him thenceforward.

These pathetic neurotic losers then resort to private replies, to which I uniformly reply: "If you're not mature enough to stay in the public forum to spew your pottymouth, good luck; you'll get no further replies from me."

How does Jim feel about posting unedited, verbatim abusive private messages together with their author in the public thread which caused it?
