On Mondays CBS Early Show, co-host Harry Smith promoted a new book and documentary about a New York City couple that spent a year without modern amenities, such as toilet paper and electricity, to limit their impact on the environment: This is an amazing saga....when the lights were switched back on, Colin and Michelle clearly saw a year that meant so much more than living without toilet paper.
Smith asked Colin and Michelle Beavan what their inspiration was, to which Colin replied: Concern for the planet. I mean, we were reading so much about global warming happening and we were just frustrated because what can any one person do? So we thought wed try to do what we could. Michelle added: I had just seen the movie An Inconvenient Truth, so that really it was kind of perfect timing.
In response to the Beavans only eating fresh unpackaged food, Smith saw the logic: the cost of what the wheat is in a box of cereal that costs $4? Its a couple of pennies, you know, versus all of this stuff thats around it. So theres theres some sense in all of this. Near the end of the segment, Colin again cited global warming hysteria: And we discovered that, you know, there is a climate emergency happening and it is possible for us as citizens to actually take care. Smith agreed: You just have to get 300 million people to do it.

Yeeeech....smelly, dirty, poorly fed people......
These were called hippies in the 60’s and 70’s......
No nail biters here...
Once I discovered the Magic of Chlorox, I stopped using toilet paper altogether.
I mean, what’s the point? You’re going to wash those tighty whities anyway... eventually.
I wonder if they took care of their Doorman in the customary way during the holidays.
Liberals use toilet paper???? Who would have thought these jerks did something unusual.

Oh boy. One crazy libtard interviewing other crazier libtards..I’ve see enough.
Unclean...unclean!
Doesn’t CBS have a show about this. Yeah, it’s on Thursday’s. It’s called Survivor! Russell is the man. I wonder if he convinced these two idiots to attempt this stunt?
I’d be impressed if they wanted to save the planet so bad that they pledged to live the rest of their lives in caves eating cold sticks and berries. I’m not impressed with books and documentaries that make money so they can live happily ever after with all the toilet paper they want.
Why should we believe the story?
This is an amazing saga....when the lights were switched back on, Colin and Michelle clearly saw a year that meant so much more than living without toilet paper.
...they wouldn’t be allowed to sit on MY couch!
Looney tunes...
