The general has responded with a series of candid interviews as well as the speech. He told Newsweek he was firmly against half measures in Afghanistan: "You can't hope to contain the fire by letting just half the building burn." Half measures get soldiers killed. But hey, according to Liberals, soldiers are supposed to die for their country so, where's the problem?

Since Gen. George S. Patton Jr. is one of my heroes, I really admire generals who don’t mind getting pompous ass politicians “furious” at them. I think that it’s one of the most honorable things a soldier can do. Go General McChrystal! America is on your side!

How about some impeachment talk?
Americans - and someone’s relatives - are dying for what out there?
IMPEACH!

A better headline might be, not that 0zero is furious, but that he is “butt-hurt”.

You just have to remember the Democrats think of Vietnam as a victory. Just not for us. Which is why they are going down this road of Vietnamization for Afghanistan.

President Obama is finding out that when told to do unintelligent things, unlike Chicago-machine politicians, our military leaders will call him on it. This is very likely the first time Obama has had a personal encounter with integrity.

The general's comment that "we must show resolve..." must really have grated on Obama who has anything but resolution on what to do in Afghanistan. Obama's foreign policy has been nothing short of chaotic, based on naive assumptions and poorly thought out.

McChrystal should resign and throw Obama under the bus, before Obama asks him to resign, and throws him under the bus.

It’s likely McChrystal will retire soon. Then he can call Obozo for what he is.

An adviser to the administration said: "People aren't sure whether McChrystal is being naïve or an upstart. To my mind he doesn't seem ready for this Washington hard-ball and is just speaking his mind too plainly."Unbelievable.

What is not being discussed is Congress’s refusal to have the general testify
I guess after General Petraeus being right about the surge in his testimony they don’t want the Afganistan strategy out in a public forum

As an American, I hope he retires; and he and his retired professionals lead us into a lock a load against Washington.
This may be for what some of us have been waiting. I know I have been.
Up until now, we have had no leadership/direction in this area.
I ask out of sincerity and ignorance: Does one believe some of our wonderful heroes dont have a war plan ready involving us to help?
Just a thought.
