Of course I may be wrong, but wasn't Congress briefed by General Petraeus? I think that was misdirection.

Did you catch Sen Bayh's answer to the question about whether the stimulus is working? Bayh - the economy would be in worse shape without it. lolololol - sounds like obama's statement that he saved a million jobs.

Well, here's what I can tell from Bayh's comment on the economy.

1. The stimulus really isn't working (hence the "it would have been worse without it" comment).

2. Bayh knows we need the troops but he is afraid Obama won't do it, so he is making it sound like deliberation is the wise way to go.

3. Bayh is getting increasing flack from his constituents. Hence the worry about the jobs and the comment that HE would have done the stimulus differently. (So far our unemployment has been a little bit better than some other states, but the spillover from Michigan's auto collapse are beginnning to be a big problem here.)
