Bayh - the economy would be in worse shape without it.

Gee, that sounds like burning the village to save it. Now where have I heard that before...?

Biden if the lead negotiator is a problem, says Brit Hume.

Question, did McCrystal change the strategy or is he merely asking for the troops to carry out the original strategy.

Mara brings up QUAGMIRE. (I immediately quit listening to her.)

Kristol says Mara correctly reflects the administrations attitude. (HA!) Says they think this is an excruciating decision. Bill says why? Obama said this is a necessary war, it's a war we have to win. So send in the troops and WIN it!

Juan says people want to win, but not send in more troops. (Me: so EXPLAIN to people!)

Yeah, and Biden wants to just fly drones around the skies of Afghanistan to pick off al Qaeda terrorist leaders. But it's hard to drain the al Qaeda swamp when your troops are getting killed by Taliban alligators.

Yep. Kristol calls obama's "tough decision moment" about what to do in Afghanistan - pathetic. This shouldn't be a difficult call for the pres. Listen to your generals!

Did you notice sen. Casey saying we should not repeat the mistakes made in Iraq. He forgets we won in Iraq.

I see a few stories surfacing that many will not be able to afford the premiums...Yes, premiums! There will be a threshold cost and still many will not “be able to afford”

If there were to be a "universal coverage" I could support, it would be requiring most Medicaid recipients to pay premiums. Uninsured would be put on it the second they tried to use the emergency room as a family doctor.

That way, the truly needy would get "free" medical welfare and the drones and laggarts would be means tested and get their beloved government run healthcare.

I'm pretty sure most would opt for private health insurance after a few bad experiences with paid Medicaid.

Well, here's what I can tell from Bayh's comment on the economy.

1. The stimulus really isn't working (hence the "it would have been worse without it" comment).

2. Bayh knows we need the troops but he is afraid Obama won't do it, so he is making it sound like deliberation is the wise way to go.

3. Bayh is getting increasing flack from his constituents. Hence the worry about the jobs and the comment that HE would have done the stimulus differently. (So far our unemployment has been a little bit better than some other states, but the spillover from Michigan's auto collapse are beginnning to be a big problem here.)

Number one reason I can't listen to these type shows. Broad stroke comments like that should be but never are followed up with a request for specifics.

For epic failure, you can say “he went to Copenhagen”

Love it! Is that like providing "Roman Polanski" exemptions to illegal aliens bacause they have been here so long that the liberals don't think it's a crime anymore?

HA! Brit says he thinks the attitude in the WHite House is that "if we can only deploy Barack Obama and all of his wonderfulness, he will turn the tide."

Hume is worried that this is their attitude on foreign policy.

Now they are mocking Roland Burris in blaming George Bush.

Juan calls out the Chicago team - Jarrett, Axelrod, Emmanuel, Daley - they didn’t have antying lined up on the Olympics. They put the prex in a “quagmire”. Poor Barry.

LOL good one Son!

. It's on the way you can be sure.

One thing the rats have all united on this week is to accuse us of everything from astroturfing--Nancy Piglosi to most things that the rats do but they are now tryng to pin on us.

Must be a new rat strategy courtesy of Axeldork, accuse the opposition of everything they do.What next?

Credit to poster on SNL thread who pointed out that the Duke of Wellington, who defeated Napoleon at WATERLOO, rose a horse named COPENHAGEN.

I love historical irony!

I think that’s a pretty good analysis of Bayh’s comments! Is there anyone planned to run against Bayh at this point? Is his time up in 2010?

Either...

It was in the bag and while Obie was in route to steal the show someone got rolled, or

Obie knew the deal was in trouble and someone close to him was heavily invested in success so Ego Man thought he could pull it out for them...

Either way, it looks bad for Obie Wan Nairobi
