The left in both Parties heads are exploding at the mention of a commoner like Gov Palin. A White Supremist cause she had a Conservative Christian co-write her book. Has the Race card gotten frayed enough.

Obozo goes to a racist church for 20 yrs and is mentored by an SDS member and never affected. Now hiring someone who they claim is a racist makes you a racist, can you be any more pathetic? And Trig was her daughter’s baby too Rachel, you racist.

Pray for America and Our Troops

Thanks for posting all that information, but I think you know I'm very aware of it.

My point is, MediCaid is government run "healthcare" and it should be means tested.

Only the truly needy should be getting it "free" and working class should not be eligible period.

Those states with ridiculous laws driving up insurance costs should be penalized.

I'd just as soon it didn't exist at all.

Hi Morgan...

The media told us in 2007 that they were going to choose our candidate...and that it would be McCain. This was after his no show in Iowa.

They are trying to do it again, and I *think* that so far they have chosen Tim Pawlenty. I keep seeing a lot of articles about him at The Politico and elsewhere.

He is also on the TV a lot.

We now know that the media plans to screw us again, like they did with McCain, so we need to ignore them.

Getting snow yet?? LOL

Sorry, the only fish I cook are maybe Mrs. Pauls.

By me a mullet is a kind of hairstyle.

But they didn't vote FOR Bush, did they? If you have 10 voters, which normally would be split 50-50, and you end up with three candidates, then the vote gets split 50-25-25 (or 50-40-10), assuming that NO candidates vote for the 50% candidate, as you are saying happened with Clinton.

In the case of Clinton, he won with 42% of the popular vote. That means that MORE people didn't want him than did. Howo many votes would have gone to GHWB if Perot hadn't been on the ticket? We probably won't ever know, but we DO know that Perot provided a distraction, an attack from a second front, and depressed and confused a fair number of voters who might have been persuaded to vote for Bush.

does not actually provide real world solutions to real world problems.

Why do you think that a 'solution' exists?

Agreed, and this points out the attraction of Sarah Palin. She is still a Republican but is proven to be a small government conservative who isn’t afraid to take on both her own party and the Democrats. That was the attraction of Perot, but he was unstable and independent. What is needed is the support of the party to back up a strong president who will hold congress accountable.

Economics is beyond my pay grade, to tell you the truth.

I think for us middle class people, we are being forced into the "every man for himself" area.

I still say burying the power lines would be a good stimulus project. Let the electric companies hire local people to do it and reimburse them from federal funds. I think it qualifies as a national security issue, due to downed power lines being a goal of terrorists and hurricanes and ice storms causing downed lines with loss of productivity and risked lives. It would put thousands if not millions of people to work, with the planning, construction, equipment needed, etc. It would have a definite beginning and end. It would be locally run. I have no hopes of this happening, however.

You are correct. That is the only thing I disagree with Beck about. A 3rd party will reelect nObama. There are stupid Republicans, corrupt Republicans and RINOs but the marxist among them are very very few if there is any at all. Those are the people I fear and voting for a Perot or a Ron Paul will put them back for another term and then forever because we will never be able to get them out.

Morning Txsleuth. The media may have found a new darling to support but I doubt the conservative base will let what happened last year happen again.

We have a lot of snow in the mountains already. Two nights of freeze warnings in Denver as well. Otherwise, our weather is making Al Gore look even more ridiculous and ignorant.

It's a brave new world these days. The days of common sense and obvious economic moves seem so far in the past.

Glad you agree. ANYTHING that detracts from the goal of removing Obama and preserving the Republic must be avoided, and that includes third parties.

People have got to get this through their heads. Talk of voting one's "conscience" when the barbarians are not only at the gates bu inside the house is fatuous posturing, and is only going to cause us to have to put up with Zero for another 4 years, if not forever. He controls Hollywood, the news media, the universities, 2/3 of the auto industry, a large chunk of the financial industry, and has the military to order around until such time as they go rogue. That's enough for any Republican candidate to fight; we don't need a third party to pile on. I will do everything I can to discourage such talk.

Obama delendo est!

The left will never leave Palin alone. And when they can't get anything on her they will make it up, spin it, or invent it. That's why we are here.

Actually, I understand this. My personal hope is we could reduce the growth of spending. Any actual reduction in spending will have to be small bites at the apple. I would like to see congress asking each agency to cut just 1-2-3% but even that small amount might prove to be an impossibility.

There is no more stimulus from this idea than with building pyramids, although there would be more intrinsic value. My economics education reached the point where I was a graduate assistant to a winner of the Nobel prize..
