"We're not asking people to spy on their neighbors," McNamara said.

Yea right, keep telling yourself that...

If someone reports something based on race or ethnicity, the police will not accept the report
So if I live near an airport and call in a report like "some Arab-looking dudes on an apartment rooftop on 1st Street appear to be tracking aircraft with some kind of heavy-duty electronic equipment" I can expect to be informed that such reports can't be accepted, since I said the phrase "Arab-looking dudes".

I guess we’re not worried about profiling anymore.

how did we get there? Now here’s a thought . . . .

If you are ready for the adventure of a lifetime, try this:

a.. Go to Pakistan , Afghanistan or Iraq illegally. Never mind immigration quotas, visas, international law, or any of that nonsense. Just show up.

b.. Once there, demand that the local government provide free medical care for you and your entire family.

c.. Demand bilingual nurses and doctors...

d. Demand free bilingual local government forms, bulletins, etc.

e.. Procreate abundantly.

f.. Deflect any criticism of this allegedly irresponsible reproductive behaviour with, ‘It is a cultural thing; you wouldn’t understand.’

g.. Keep your original identity strong. Fly your national flag from your rooftop, or proudly display it in your front window, or on your car bumper.

h.. Speak only English at home and in public, and make sure that your children do likewise.

i... Demand classes on English culture in the Muslim school system.

j.. Demand a local country driver license or national insurance number equivalent

k.. This will afford other legal rights and will go far to legitimize your unauthorised, illegal, presence in Pakistan , Afghanistan or Iraq

l.. Drive around with no MOT, tax or insurance and ignore local traffic laws.

m.. Insist that local country law enforcement teaches English to all its officers..

n.. Organize protest marches against your host country, inciting violence against non-white, non-Christians, and the government that let you in.

Good luck! You’ll soon be dead.

It would never happen in Pakistan , Afghanistan or Iraq (or any other country in the world for that matter) except in the UK , US, or Canada , because we are run by soft, politically correct politicians that are too scared to ‘offend’ anyone.

If you agree, pass it on.

If you don’t go ahead and try the above in Pakistan , Afghanistan or Iraq

He should have bought the stuff in New York. The big-box store cashiers are so dumb, it is all they can do to operate the registers. They don’t even look at what you are buying.

Kathryn Johnston (June 26, 1914 - November 21, 2006)[1] was an elderly Atlanta, Georgia woman who was shot by three undercover police officers in her home on Neal Street in northwest Atlanta on November 21, 2006, where she had lived for 17 years.

She fired a warning shot into the ceiling after officers pried off burglar bars and broke down her door using a no knock warrant. None of the officers were injured by her gunfire, but Johnston was killed by the officers.

After the officers shot Johnston, they left her handcuffed on the floor while she bled to death, and then planted marijuana from their patrol car in her basement to try to help justify the shooting.

Officers Gary Smith, Gregg Junnier, and Arthur Tesler, were wearing bulletproof vests and carrying riot shields when they entered the home.

It was later determined that Johnston fired one shot, which did not hit any officers. The police officers fired a total of 39 shots, six of which hit Johnston. Police injuries sustained in the raid were due to friendly fire and were not from Johnston's gun.

In an attempt to justify the no-knock warrant, the Atlanta Police Department initially claimed that the police were searching for drug dealers after a police informant was said to have bought crack cocaine at Johnston's home earlier in the day. However, both a federal and state investigation revealed that this was untrue. In the affidavit police used to obtain a search warrant for Johnston's house, Atlanta, Georgia narcotics officers alleged their informant bought drugs inside Johnston's home earlier in the day from a man named "Sam", and that the home had video surveillance equipment justifying the no knock warrant.

In an interview with Atlanta television station WAGA a few days after Johnston's shooting, the informant denied having gone to her house and said that after the shooting, the police pressured him to lie and say that he had.

Detective Junnier has told the Federal Bureau of Investigation that some of the information used to obtain the search warrant on Johnston's home was false.

On February 7, 2007, it was announced that Georgia's district attorney would seek felony murder and burglary indictments against the three agents involved.

On April 26, 2007, Smith and Junnier pleaded guilty to manslaughter, violation of oath, criminal solicitation, and making false statements. Smith additionally pleaded guilty to perjury.

Furthermore, the federal probe into the police department revealed that Atlanta police routinely lied to obtain search warrants, including often falsifying affidavits.

On May 22, 2008, Tesler was sentenced to four years and six months in prison for lying to investigators. He also received six months probation and must serve 450 hours of community service.

On October 30, 2008, Tesler pleaded guilty to federal charges of conspiracy to violate the civil rights of Johnston.[17] On February 24, 2009, U.S. District Judge Julie Carnes sentenced former officer Gregg Junnier to six years in prison, Jason Smith to 10 years in prison and Arthur Tesler to five years in prison. Junnier and Tesler had faced recommended 10 years in prison under sentencing guidelines, while Smith faced 12 years and seven months.

Yeah, this will work out really well, rat out your neighbor 'cause his dog messes your lawn.

I have been to one of these training classes. Like many of you I was skeptical and wondering if it was part of the “civilian” patrol.

I was impressed with the information I got. They pointed out that there were at least 11 people who noticed something odd about Timothy McVey. One man in a boat watched some guys on the bank of the river mixing something and putting it back in the rental truck. He thought it odd that this activity would be going on in the middle of nowhere, but didn’t know who to call.

Now, you may call the local police with a report, and they may say “yeah, right, sure thing.” However if 3 or 4 reports come into the center saying “You know, I saw some middle eastern guys taking a lot of pictures of bridges, underneath and all around the support.” (or learning how to fly without landing or on and on) the center will start to put some pieces together.... just like we do here on Free Republic.

It is just an expansion of what was started after 9/11, when they asked truck drivers to keep their eyes open to anything odd.

I am not ready to write the program off yet.
