Olympic history was made Wednesday morning, but it wasn't the kind New York City backers were hoping for.

In the fourth round of voting, the International Olympic Committee chose London, England, as the host of the 2012 Olympic Games, making London the first city to be selected to host the Games on three occasions.

New York City was eliminated on the second ballot of an unusually competitive contest. Paris had been considered the front-runner heading into Wednesday's voting.

so let's see...the whiney rat-wingers want to blame GWB for obama's embarassment today...yet when that "much hated" GWB was still president in July, 2005, and democrats had voted down NYC's Olympic Stadium just a week prior, NYC's bid was STILL able to get into the second round...LMAO!!!

Does anyone really care about the joke-O-lympics any more?

They’ve got about as much credibility as a Nobel prize in something other than the sciences.

Obama has spent his time telling the world America isn't much of anything special.
Now the democrats and their media whores are surprised to find out that some people have taken him at his word.

Looks like Obama’s years of very public US-bashing worked their magic on the minds of the members of the IOC.

Today, he and Michelle couldn’t convince the IOC that the US is any good.

Not to speak of his and his wife’s completely self-centered pitches which probably alternately bored and annoyed the committee. One should be showing why your country and city are good for the Olympics, not how you want to walk out the door of your family home and “welcome the world” or how Michelle sat on her father’s lap and watched the Olympics and isn’t sad he died and we have to have the Olympics for people like him or some such nonsense.

Princeton and Harvard did them no good! They can’t compose a speech fitting the occasion! It’s all about them. They need to take a few courses where a professor can knock the snot out of them!
