The chairman of the Senate Finance Committee said he has "high hopes" of finishing work on a sweeping health care overhaul bill by Thursday night. Democratic Sen. Max Baucus announced the schedule as he gaveled open the committee Thursday morning for its seventh day of work on a 10-year, $900 billion bill to extend coverage to uninsured Americans.

The sneaky crap these congressional weasels are trying to pull makes me think that 1)they are convinced that the voting public is totally stupid with no attention span or memory or 2)somehow they think the fix is in and elections will be suspended due to some cooked-up “crisis.”
Thinking #2 is mighty paranoid but these people are so ballsy that their actions defy ordinary explanation. I realize many of them are bought and paid for but nevertheless they have to stand for election—assuming there will be elections.
