Bush is too much of a McCainiac to do anything brave like that.

Bush was disappointing in many ways but I never doubted his personal courage.

You might run into some resistance to this view of yours around here....

Bush has the same over-whelming need to be liked by liberals as McCain has. That makes him, in my book, a coward.

He let us down. He let us down bigtime. All so that he would be liked by liberals.

He is largely responsible for the McCain candidacy which is largely responsible for the Obama Presidency.

Busch->McCain->Obama.

And the fact is, the events speak for themselves. Carter travels the world standing up for dictators.

But President Bush... standing up for freedom... < sound of crickets >...
