A much better presentation than the Bammies..they forgot it was about the Olympics, not them.

I’m worried that’s the reality.

Let's not count Madrid out so soon. From playing bar trivia this week I found out that Spain is one of the top tourist countries in the world. Many organizations who track tourism have Spain as second behind us or France in first depending on number of visitors or dollars spent in the last few years.

We shall see. The announcement of the winning city is sudden and swift. Elation for the winning city backers and utter dejection for those who are emotionally invested in the losing cities.

They had to put the (R) and (L) in to make sure we could tell which was the queen and which the prince? Are people that stupid? Or maybe they thought those pasty white people would have the name “Obama”.

Thank you for that link.

I can actually hear it! (I could barely hear the audio on the ABC link)

I wish I could have heard Rio’s presentation better. What I heard and saw was great.

I missed Chicago’s presentation.

I have read on this thread that Barry was doing his usual “me, me, I, I” baloney.

But honestly, how was the entire Chicago presentation?

I’m surprised .. as I saw a few weeks ago
there were designers commissioned for
special outfits for the team .. ties, etc.

Now, maybe that was just the casual gear.
I think they could’ve done a better job
by far, all around.

The Olympics have only been in the southern hemisphere twice (both times in Australia). It’s way overdue. The US has hosted 4 Summer and Winter games for a total of 8.

Expect the MSM to sing the praises of Obama to high heavens when Chicago is chosen, they will probably even produce a “confidential” source who says that Obama personally made the difference between Chicago and Rio.

My my how intuitive. Reporter on the scene told Matt Lauer had he been asked three weeks ago who would win he'd have said Rio. Last week he would have repeated it but this morning AFTER THE ROCK STAR GREETINGS for the Obamas, it might just be Chicago by a nose. They were masterful in their presentation. Fix is in!
