President Obama will hear from his top commander in Afghanistan on Wednesday for the first time since the general warned that America's mission in the unstable country will likely fail without more troops.
The president is attending the first in a series of Afghanistan strategy sessions with his national security team amid criticism that he has not acted quickly enough to address the challenges U.S. forces face there, and that he has been downplaying advice from Gen. Stanley McChrystal.
The security team includes top military and diplomatic officials with whom Obama has been in regular contact. But McChrystal, who will join the private meeting via video feed, has talked with Obama only once since taking over U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan over the summer.

He had to wait (Letterman) to get the (MTP) important (Olympics) business (Iran asskissery) out of the way.
Could I be brutally frank here?
A) BHO could care less what Gen. McChrystal thinks.
B) BHO could care less what other military leaders including Gen. Petraeus and Adm. Mullen think.
C) BHO could care less what allies like the Czech Republic, Poland, Israel, France and the UK think.
D) BHO could care less about our troops, re-enforcing them or properly supplying them.
E) BHO could care less what Iran, Venezuela, or North Korea do. He has no intention of thwarting their military ambitions.
He is now off to Copenhagen trying to bring back the goodies to Chicago—now there is a big priority for him.
And how many times have you spoken with David Letterman, Katy Couric, David Gregory and the Olympic Committee?
This guy in office is nothing more than a playboy acting like a leader. Too bad, you are nothing but a failure.
Meanwhile, Michelle has flown to talk to the IOC committee and campaign for the 2012 Olympics to be held in Chicago.
That means that all the blather about using less energy and Flobull Warming is not applicable to The One and his family.
Now, there will be 2 flights to get both NObamas there for IOC members to schmoooooze with them.
They are both arrogant jerks.

Mullen, Petraeus, et al will be able to get the message across to these civilians. Sad part is that he’ll have to VTC in to participate and that means Obama and crew can mute him whenever they want or they can have some “technical difficulties” that hinder the meeting.
Bet there will be a lot of junior folks running around fetching coffee for those in attendance...would love to be a fly on the wall at this meeting just to see how Obama handles his general outing that he hadn’t spoken to him in over 70 days. I hope McChrystal doesn’t get a “new one (a..h...)chewed on him” but I’m sure every military person in the room is thinking BOHICA...
But that did make me think about the Olympics and if Obama were still in office, how Obama would be high up on an ancient Greek Olympic altar, reviewing the procession of ‘his’ nations. I can see a replay of the the ‘36 Berlin Olympics. Will we have a Jesse Owens?
I think you are wanting to say couldn't care less. If he could care less that means he has some care which we all know doesn't exist.
