The Destruction of ACORN, the Strategy of Breitbart & Why We Must All Remain Vigilant [Bill Whittle]
Afterburner at PJTV ^ | September 27 2009 | Bill Whittle

Posted on 09/30/2009 6:33:10 AM PDT by Tolik

In his latest video Bill Whittle compares the destruction of ACORN with one of the most brilliant military victories of all times: Hannibal's decimation of Romans in the Battle of Cannae.

Whittle says that the main war is not with ACORN but with the media. The Media is no longer "news media", because, as it was highlighted, again, in the ACORN affair, is not just biased and selective, but now engaged in suppressing the news. It's not free media anymore.

As Hannibal learned that fighting all powerful Rome is dangerous, Breitbart should also be worry - he'd drawn blood of the Rome! And should continue attack and keep moving, to not repeat the Hannibal's fate.

My short summary in no way reflects the customarily witty presentation by Bill Whittle. Watch the video yourself.

Nailed It!

This ping list is not author-specific for articles I'd like to share. Some for the perfect moral clarity, some for provocative thoughts; or simply interesting articles I'd hate to miss myself. (I don't have to agree with the author all 100% to feel the need to share an article.)

I will try not to abuse the ping list and not to annoy you too much, but on some days there is more of the good stuff that is worthy of attention.

You are welcome to browse the list of truly exceptional articles I pinged to lately. Updated on September 15, 2009.  on  my page.
You are welcome in or out, just freepmail me (and note which PING list you are talking about).

Besides this one, I keep 2 separate PING lists for my favorite authors Victor Davis Hanson and Orson Scott Card.

When Resident Obamah spoke of a civilian security force equal to the military, he was talking about foot-soldiers from ACORN, SEIU, AFL-CIO, UAW & AFT and on and on.

Oh, bishbosh. Breitbart has NOTHING to worry about.

Breitbart's got something Hannibal never dreamed off-------the all-encompassing, global power of the internet.

It is ACORN and its backers---all of "Rome" itself---that should be running for the hills.

Mmm, mm, mmm.......imagine all those digital "elephants" stampeding toward ACORN. LOL.

Actually the Progressively Left Mediots have been spiking the bad news for at least a century.

The NY Slimes turned its head when the communists slaughtered and starved to death millions of Russians and never reported what was really happening.

Yes and no.

You are absolutely correct about the power of Internet. Finally, there is some alternative to the left-stream-media.

BUT - Obama won the last election not at the least because the “news” media was not interested in investigating who he is and what ideas he has, and was mostly an amplifier for his election propaganda. They were more interested in investigating Joe the Plumber. If Breitbart has some skeletons in the closet, we’ll know. If he was not 100% accurate with IRS, they will know.

I share the optimism, but it’s not going to be easy.

Drudge report for years has been more of an echo of news stories already out than a breaking news site. Sad.

With all due respect the main reason Obama won was John McCain.

I don’t agree with Whittle on everything, but everything he does on PJTV is brilliant ... just brilliant.

He’s as sharp as Coulter, but without the snark. (Not that snark is a bad thing when talking about American liberals.)

I did not say “predominately”, only “not at the least”.

I agree, of course, that McCain was a weak candidate.
Another reason was Bush not acting like a conservative and losing the base (fill in the long list of his not-conservative actions).
And another was republicans in congress forgetting about fiscal responsibility - a very substantial part of the apolitical middle voted GOP for years only because of fiscal issues. They lost the reason to prefer GOP and went with the hype of the historical first black president.
I don’t list the country being tired from the long war because this sentiment was born and carried by the non-stop drumbeat of the anti-Bush media.

So, there were many reasons, and media played its very significant role.
