A TSUNAMI WATCH IS ISSUED FOR THE STATE OF HAWAII EFFECTIVE AT 0805 AM HST.
AN EARTHQUAKE HAS OCCURRED WITH THESE PRELIMINARY PARAMETERS
ORIGIN TIME - 0748 AM HST 29 SEP 2009 COORDINATES - 15.3 SOUTH 171.0 WEST LOCATION - SAMOA ISLANDS REGION MAGNITUDE - 7.9 MOMENT
EVALUATION
BASED ON ALL AVAILABLE DATA A TSUNAMI MAY HAVE BEEN GENERATED BY THIS EARTHQUAKE THAT COULD BE DESTRUCTIVE ON COASTAL AREAS EVEN FAR FROM THE EPICENTER. AN INVESTIGATION IS UNDERWAY TO DETERMINE IF THERE IS A TSUNAMI THREAT TO HAWAII.

Actually, they have just under three hours. Supposed to hit at 1:11 local time.
There were still thousands of FEMA trailers at the Airport located at Hope, Arkansas when I drove past there Saturday. It is enough to make people sick. They are already starting to look run down.
This is scary. We were stationed at Pearl Harbor Sub Base. Whenever we had high surf warnings, some dumb tourist would have to prove how brave he/she was and go watch, too close. The next thing you hear, they’re washed out to sea. You have to respect the ocean, it’s unpredictable even when there are no warnings out.

A tsunami is a tidal or plate event, not a weather event—that’s why that last really big one looked so creepy, for me. All that sunshine, all that distruction. Not like the twisters we get in the mitten.
Obama will do his usual complaining about how no other president has ever had to deal with so many problems before... poor Bambi, life is so unfair to him.
Pretty hard to tell. I recall the major Tsunami that hit where the sea actually receded and then came on shore over it self...
Can't tell if the ocean is breaking because of the reefs or it's getting ready to let her rip...LOL..

Sorry, I’m sure they’ll be okay, isn’t that a long way away from the Quake, besides, I think a Tsunami is barely noticable out at sea, it’s only a small ripple, but when it comes on land is when it is really noticed, I believe that is the case.
We need a photoshop of Obama with the weather machine titled “Weather Underground”, LOL!

10-15 foot waves hit Pango-Pango Bay, pushed 100+ yards inland.
he is being told by “Constituents” of “heavy” damage there, cars floating in the bay, etc.
