I have a wonderful thing to announce to my fellow Americans. The recession is over and the recovery has begun. I have directed my employees in Congress to draft a new round of stimulant spending to the tune of $1 trillion. Sure we will lose a few million jobs over the next year as company after company goes out of business or declares bankruptcy but this government is out of recession. We can and will spend our way out of all economic difficulty that remains. So smile a little more while you are in line for your unemployment check or at the bread line, the recession is over. So sayeth the I.

According to Wiki, the ARRA included these provisions for "health care"...
* $86.6 billion for Medicaid
* $24.7 billion to provide a 65 percent subsidy of health care insurance premiums for the unemployed under the COBRA program
* $19 billion for health information technology
* $10 billion for health research and construction of National Institutes of Health facilities
* $1.3 billion for medical care for service members and their families (military)
* $1 billion for prevention and wellness
* $1 billion for the Veterans Health Administration
* $2 billion for Community Health Centers
* $1.1 billion to research the effectiveness of certain healthcare treatments
* $500 million to train healthcare personnel
* $500 million for healthcare services on Indian
reservations
IOW, it could be almost anything. What it certainly will end up being is an unbridled expansion of government, and skyrocketing added expense to the US taxpayer.

It’s a recession when your neighbor loses his job.
It’s a depression when you lose yours.
It’s a recovery when Obama loses his.

The American people can’t wait for Congress to pass health care reform. So I am going to do it by Presidential order.
