“hugh & series” (as opposed to "huge and serious") is a FR joke, I believe, based on a real post by someone around a year or so ago. I was on the thread and the person was definitely not joking. He or she was very embarrassed by it and said something like it was because they hadn't gotten enough sleep.

BTW: many spell checkers wouldn't find anything wrong with the words "hugh" (a person's name) and "series". "hugh" some might catch if it wasn't capitalized.

Malapropisms are a common occurrence on the Internet. Some are funny and take on a meme-like existence. "Hugh and series", "stuning your beeber", etc... are just such colloquialisms.

I like them. They add flavor. ;-)

As for the thread topic. This is still in the "Duh, sh*t" category for me. Great that people are waking up and heads are starting to roll, but what about all of those elections whose outcome is now cast in doubt by this info? What of those Secretary's of States and Attorneys General that REFUSED to investigate ACORN's misdeed allegations that are now proving well founded?

Mark Ritchie of Minnesota comes to mind. 30k some odd ACORN registrations, some with all the ear marks of fraud, and he couldn't find ANYTHING to investigate?

Pull my other leg... ACORN's enablers need to answer charges every bit as much as ACORNs staff and management do.
