The United States and its allies in Afghanistan must "wrest the information initiative" from the Taliban and other insurgent groups that have undermined the credibility of the Kabul government and its international backers, according to the top U.S. and NATO commander in the country.

Actually....if you started a “pirate-radio” station...with a whacked-out nut-job as a Mullah in the local district....you could start to confuse alot of high-strung pretender Islamic guys. I’d set up a studio...hire a couple of comedians and guys who know AFghan humor....and then start a “Mullah Bob” station. The guys who take the Taliban serious....will eventually take to the cynical view and sarcastic wit...then start to lessen their view of the supreme mullah.
Hey Obama. What is the plan? What are the military objectives? What are the political objectives? Have you thought about the poppy fields? What are your foreign policy objectives with Pakistan?
A few years ago, Two Senators wrote an act that became law. It’s called the Goldwater/Nichols law. It requires the POTUS to publish a National Security Strategy. That way, military leaders can have, at least, an outline to know what to expect in regard to national security goals and objectives.
I have no idea what your plan is Mr. Obama.
Why is he saying this? I don’t understand what he is trying to do. He says we are losing the war and need more troops, we are losing the communication war, etc. This should not be mentioned. Loose lips sink ships type mentality. If he does not want the job that he was given, then give it to someone who wants it.
See my mini rant.
If Obama would stop flapping his lips for five minutes, we might be able to get a positive message out about the US and the war.
Goldwater-Nichols requires an annual National Security Strategy report and also requires a new president to submit a National Security Strategy within 150 days of taking office.
Obama is indeed about three months late. But somehow previous presidents have also ignored these deadlines. Apparently the Bush administration only published two such reports, in 2002 and 2006. Clinton managed to file seven of them. Bush Sr. also missed one year.
Maybe dead insurgents communicate less?
how do enemy controlled areas get
gasoline and food?
If I was in command,
those things would be the first things bombed.
