By saying that Republican John McCain would have been a worse president than Barack Obama............
(I have no use for the rest of this website's drivel. I just want the substance of what Beck said)
(Excerpt) Read more at theweek.com ...
You are missing the point. The tea party spirit of Americans has always been there. Sure the Dims brought it out, but whether it is brought out or not it is still there. This is a conservative country. Remember we do not have to fool them to win like the Dims.
As I said, I could care less if the tea parties were not scheduled this year if they were not needed. But if you met your new girl friend or boy friend at them, I understand you personal stake in them meeting this year. But that does not change the character of the American people. If provoked, they will rise to the ocassion.
“Anyways, In the *FULL* commentary, Beck has said that if McCain were president, the tea party movement wouldn’t have happened or wouldn’t have been as large.”
I disagree.
Obama as President has been bad for America but good for the GOP.
McCain as President has been bad for GOP but better for the country. Not as radical and there STILL would be pushback on his plans from real conservatives.
“It’s also a little silly to say that Levin’s “realm” is irrelevant: have you read Men in Black and/or Liberty and Tyranny at all?”
Only a #1 best seller ... Irrelevent???
“Let Levin and his boytoy Vannity repeat the same cliched phrases all day long, the rest of us have principals to uphold.”
You sound like a sophomore in college trying to upstage a professor.
What an a**-clown thing to say.
What Beck is saying is that it is due time that all these things be exposed and dealt with. If they had continued to fester beneath the surface for any longer without being excised we may have eventual been in even deeper trouble than we are today because of Obama and so called community organizing. Hopefully this terrible Alinsky inspired, commie beast can still be slayed since Americans are becoming much more aware of it's presence and danger.
The left in this country is like a terrible life threatening cancer. It must be exposed and confronted soon enough if we are to survive.
The most important thing still that any American can do is to repent of personal sin and cry out for the mercy and power of Almighty God to turn the crimson tide of wickedness in this country, for without the LORD's forgiveness and grace we are undone. Hopefully it is not too late. It is possible that their is still time if we all do what we must for the sake of righteousness.
Yeah, same here. For some reason they play the last two hours first then the first hour. Savage reminds me of an old Jewish guy I used to play Chess with at a greasy spoon in town.
Truth hurts, huh? If you want to have fun, play a drinking game with Vannity and Levin. Every time they repeat the same catch phrase/mantra, take a shot. Odds are you won’t make it to the third hour.
According to Talkers Magazine, Glenn Beck radio show pulls in 9+ million to Levin's 6.25+ million. Add Beck's 3+ million on TV (which is unprecedented in cable news)and his audience does dwarf Levin's.
darn good analogy. I think it fits.
I really hate the on air volleys between these two as I admire and respect them both - but here goes...
Beck is right that McCain would be worse than Obama in that McCain would push for many of the social policies and big government expansion that Obama has but McCain would have had the trust of a great number of GOP sheeple - this of course would assure passage of these policies in the house and senate.
My man Mark is right in that they are both statists and would take us down the path of Marxism at the speed of light.
All that said, I think the two should knock off the BS and hammer the statists on those things they DO agree on.

PS\
Frum is an idiot.
I would say that Levin’s logic and skills are perhaps better suited for the written word than the spoken (radio) word. That’s why his book has been #1 forever it seems without ever getting a review by any MSM outlet.
Beck connects with his TV and radio gigs — I worry that it may be tough to sustain the level of popularity because it’s come on like a comet.
I agree...Watching two notable media types go after each other in a difference of opinion is good for everyone, they have insights that some of us do not have, and probably will never develop...But that is beside the point...
What is funny about FR is that we all tend to get into these circular firing squads, yet only a few of us have real bullets, the rest seem to only have blanks...And that kinda changes (with those in those groups) in that regard depending on the issue...
I feel I rarely have real bullets to fire, yet I know I shoot blanks some of the time...
That really sounds horrible doesn’t it??? hehehe
My 2 cents. Beck should not have said what he did to a cute little bolshevic like Couric. He made a mistake, pure and simple. I posted before the show” Why is Beck going on a show run by an enemy of conservatism?”
Beck and Levin both have their place. They should keep their opinions of each other to themselves. The worst offender is Savage.
"Beck is literally knocking on Rushs door in terms of importance."
Worse, Mark didn’t do the crime, he put in the time and the work!
Ah, no problem. We’ll get hitched in Mark’s bunker.
You don’t know Levin at all if that’s what you think.
