Well guess what. In my neighborhood, inside loop. Fam woke up to a body on their lawn. Meat wagon had just got there hour or so ago. Must have been a DRUG dealer...had $20,000. on him.Note to self: if you wake up and there's a drug dealer in the yard, search him BEFORE calling 911.

what gets me is the whole 'lockdown' thing...guy I worked for several years back went to pick up his daughter as usual, [leaving me to deal with customers] and it happend to be a tornado watch or warning at that time...
they would NOT allow him to retreive his girl...I was dumbfounded when he returned, waaaaaay later than expected and highly agitated to hear the tale...
tornado will be the least of ms sourpickles' worries if it were my kids...

I wonder why I automatically assume it’s the high school down the street from my house.

Im not sure why our first reaction needs to be to get defensive about how this might affect gun rights. How but some concern for the people in harms way? The 2nd Amendment can be discussed later.
While it's true that 2nd Amendment supporters have much more class than the gun grabbers, and don't dance in the blood of victims to score political points like they do (nor should we do anything similar), these types of incidents have a way of occurring at the worst possible time.
Some have written, including Neal Knox, about how these things just have to be more than sheer coincidence. Bills before Congress restricting gun rights, and it is bound to happen.
Granted, gun control at the moment is on the back burner, but people here have long since become leery of what could happen in the aftermath...

The assault weapon went to public school. It has a hard time reading signs.

“Houston High School on Lockdown”
Lockdown? Well at least they’re preparing the students for their future lives as convicts should they choose to take that career path.

Lockdown bullshit... it's just an extension of the "Dial 911 and DIE" mentality. Every time I see something like this, I thank God that we homeschool. If my school goes into lockdown, I can assure you that nobody is hiding in corners waiting to be rescued. Not only are my teachers armed, but my students are as well!

Hmmm... That M-16 looks exactly like a AK-47 and that AK-47 looks exactly like my two AR-15s.
Just wonderin’

How but some concern for the people in harms way?If they're sheepdogs they'll be alright. At least they'll have a fighting chance to survive which is all any of us has a right to expect. If they're sheep, I can't help them. If I could, I would. It is a waste of energy to worry about events over which one has no control. It is better to foresee the consequences of those events and begin the preparations to deal with future threats against our liberties and .... as somebody else on this thread has said, inevitably the hue and cry by the liberal media and their political puppets will be for more restrictions on our freedoms and the tools of that freedom.
