Vice President Joe Biden did not need Air Force Two Thursday night to travel across the Potomac River to McLean, Virginia to the home of former Democratic Virginia governor and senator Chuck Robb.
It was, of course, a fundraiser, designed to help finance three freshman Democratic House candidates -- Glenn Nye, Gerry Connelly and Tom Perriello -- in their challenging re-election races 13 months from now in what once was a predictably GOP state.
Robb himself did not speak at the event. His wife Lynda, daughter of President Lyndon B. Johnson, introduced the trio of representatives.
But it looks like Joltin' Joe stepped in something again, rhetorically speaking.
About 100 supporters had paid $1,000 each to gather in the open-air pool house where Biden spoke.
"I don’t have to tell you that you’re in a very competitive state,” the vice president said, according to the press pool notes. “You got some tough votes coming up.”
Biden called the three men “independent minded” and “damn competent,” adding, however, that they were all united on core Democratic Party themes, including energy policy and health care.

As Charles Krauthammer has pronounced, he’s the “Sage of Wilmington.” Having been born and raised in Wilmington, DE, it’s rather embarrassing that this guy is our most famous “son”. But then again, I take solace knowing that as soon as he was nominated, he renounced his Wilmington roots in favor of being “Scrappy from Scranton.” Let Scranton have him.

Looks to me like Israel told bammie and Ack-man-handjob to do something about the Iranian nuke plants or they were gonna launch Blue Squadren. So Iran agrees to "announce" the presence of the highly "secret second nuke facility" thereby justifying concessions and general butt-kissing from bammie if Iran shuts them down according to bammies "demands."

The real story here is the even stupider voters of DE who continue to elect this wack job year after year. If Joe is a sideshow imagine how cosmically ridiculous the regular Joe’s of DE must be. LOL!!!!

Not fair, there are actually some great people in Delaware, although there are a few less since me and my family moved to Virginia :)
All kidding aside, Glenn Nye is the congresscritter from my district, which is no where near northern VA where this fundraiser took place.
Biden is off to Georgia (the American one) this morning to briefly watch floodwaters. He'll return to Washington in the afternoon for what has become one of his frequent duties, swearing someone in.
Obama finally found the right job for Joe: watching floodwaters. That skill will come in handy next year, when an electoral flood removes dozens of Democrats from office.
Can turkeys swim? We'll find out in 13 months.

LOL, Im sure that might be a long and tedious search to find them (just one?). To be fair DE isn’t alone in this shame. The more I see of Congress the more I wonder about the electorate of this country. Can we be so collectively stupid and vile? It seems the in thing is to find the least competent most corrupt folks in the community and send them to DC as reps.
