What?! Lock women in a sub full of sea-men? (Sorry, couldn’t resist)
I have no problem with women in the military, but I see only bad things coming from this....
Too close, too confined quarters.
And I think everybody here knows what they don’t publicize about women on Warships.
It won’t work. It never has and it never will. Too much sexual tension down there. Fer Crissakes...can’t they use their common sense?? SSZ
>> now we know why Mabus got the nod for the Navy Sec. job.
Bingo!
It will give new meaning to hot racks....that’s for sure. Bunch of maroons.
I will not insult women or submariners by making the obvious references to “bubbleheads” or “...going down!”
On a serious note, there is a nice little memorial to submariners on the mainland side of the Cape Cod Canal. It makes you stop and think what a great country we are (were?).
These @sshats know exactly what they are doing. This is purely at attack against our military for the purpose of weakening this nation.
I’d like to hear sub-driver’s thoughts (however he spells his name).
The ladies will make A LOT of money.
This is not a good idea, even having female pheromes circulating in the ventilating system of subs with men on board for months at a time, is not a good idea.Unless you have equal numbers of women and men who pair off as seaman couples.Thats the only way it would work as well as what we have now in the submarine service, in terms of operational functionality.
Its idiotic to put women on a sub, unless its ALL women.
Don’t they have cabin boys?
Not a good idea...lead nothing but to trouble.

You are a wise man, sir. In the ‘70s, I flew DC-8s for an American a charter carrier. At one time the company flew B-727s for their Caribbean trips. The planes were crewed with three pilots and three flight attendants. To put it mildly, a good time was had by all (except spouses).
Some years later I had a series of long layovers in Dakar; one of the pilots had brought his wife with him. At some point she confided: “Poor Fred, he always came home sooooo exhausted. Those -727 trips took so much out of him”. We all bit our tongues and said nothing.
Women on warships get knocked up, and they charge their superiors with sexual harassment. I see more of the same coming from women in subs. It’s another social experiment. Things are tried out in the military before they are tried out on the rest of us, e.g. integration. It’s about breaking down bourgeois social barriers — taking away privacy, respect for others, the sanctity of sex within marriage. This will degrade professionalism in the subs and take away from operational efficiency. It will just be a big distraction and open another can of worms (and cheese).
Yeah....the men just can’t be trusted.
LOL.
