Schwarzenegger: ready to work for Obama, go green

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is ready to put his star power to work for President Barack Obama on the environment when his own term ends next year, the former movie actor said on Thursday.
Republican Schwarzenegger is arguably the biggest environmentalist in his party and razzed Washington, which is struggling to pass climate change legislation and prepare for international talks, for wrangling with other countries over global warming goals rather than setting an example.
"Did we say China, you go first with human rights, and we will follow you? No. We led," he said in an address at the Commonwealth Club lauding his state's climate change plan, which is the most aggressive in the nation.
Term limits will force Schwarzenegger out of office in late 2010, and his main accomplishment may be his environmental record -- sweeping efforts to change the state's system of government and to permanently balance the budget have largely failed.
Asked if he would be willing to serve in the Obama administration, be a global 'green' ambassador, or even star in a TV series as governor of California after he steps down, Schwarzenegger said, "Yes to all those things."

Man you got that right. The 80s Arnold kicked ass! As bad as a RINO he is, I’ll never give up his movies. He is a legend on the silver screen.

Arnie needs to go on over to the dark side and call himself a Democrat. LEAVE Arnie, we want the RINOS out of the GOP.

I wonder what would have happened had he not married a Kennedy? Arnold has always been a politically ambitious socialist. He married a Kennedy because he saw the liaison as a direct path to a Presidential run. The "real" Arnold of the 1980s that some are running on about here was purely a fictional/fantasy Hollywood creation. The joke's on those who were duped into voting for him.

Arnold is in the terminal phase of a sexually transmitted disease. He contracted a virulently irrational strain of liberalism from a Kennedy through sexual contact.
At least with AIDS, there are therapies. He caught this, however, from a Kennedy. No cure.

Which begs the question as to what constitutes an environmentalist. I don't think I've ever read a decent definition of an environmentalist. If you asked the average Joe on the street if they were an environmentalist most would probably say yes, absolutely.
Arnie is apparently dumb. Yes, in fact he is. Oh he's smart enough to parley his fame as a B movie actor into a lot of money. But he's not fundamentally not a bright guy when it comes to understanding complex problems. Nobody in the press has pushed him with difficult questions as best as I can tell. I doubt if he could tell you what the law of diminishing returns even is.
I wasn't disappointed with Arnold because I didn't expect much out of him. He was never a conservative. He was always a big government guy.

Here's a GREAT idea for a slogan /sarc> :
GO GREEN! VOTE Obama / 'negger.
Now is that racist, or bipartisan?
Cheers!

The joke's on those who were duped into voting for him. I was duped even into campaigning for him. I've publicly and humiliatingly apologize therefor. What got me was that I bought into his saying that since he grew up under socialism, he knew its dangers and would fight against it. What a sucker I was.
