Correct me if I am wrong, but discovery is not unlimited. It is not a fishing expedition. You can only seek documents related to the lawsuit at hand. The defense cannot make ACORN “open its books” over this lawsuit. The defense does not have unlimited power. They can only ask for material relevant to the videotaping, the offices they were in, the and ACORN workers they spoke to.

Now, it is not absolutely and totally impossible that what they learn will lead to something that will lead to something that will lead to Berth Lewis or some damning revelation. More than likely, it will not, and the scope of the discovery is going to be extremely narrow.

The courts will not allow a fishing expedition. Not gonna happen.
