I will have to make special Discovery Popcorn.
This is gonna be Good.
Do we know who is representing O’Keefe and Giles? I have to assume there is a long line of prestigious lawyers from the Right ready to do this pro-bono.

Because the ACORN employees and the defendants are from different states, the case can be removed to federal court. That court is in the conservative Fourth Circuit, giving the defendants a place to win on the appeal of rulings and even the final judgment.

the best defense is an offense. The media did not cover until Acorn struck back.
that will be the story.

remember when the alphabet news used to do hidden camera journalism?
Like showing what mechanics really do to your car, or what grocery outlets really do to your food, or what hotels do when you’re not looking?

Dunno if ACLJ is interested (Jay Sekulow) but if they get him... watch out Acorn.
I would expect the first thing Acorn does is request the judge put a seal on all discovery. So we may have to wait for our popcorn.

Morons. By bringing the suit the defense now gets to DEPOSE anyone in ACORN. In deposition, the plaintiff can be asked ANYTHING about ANYTHING in their entire life. Anything! Refusing to answer or lying is a FELONY. MAN,would I love to be at Bertha Lewis’ deposition! The tape of the deposition becomes the private property of the Defendant! Let the good times roll!

Yes!!

The Court has no jurisdiction unless the “kids” agree to it. As far as injunctions go - bite me.

Also, discovery will force ACORN to open its books to the defendants and the court. IDIOTS!
To: Ann Archy
The distinction is that in the state of MD audio recording without 2-party consent is illegal. Aside from that minor clarification, I agree that ACORN will rue the day that they opened up this Pandora's Box.
