In the midst of the National Endowment for the Arts controversy, their former communications director Yosi Sergant has submitted his resignation. If he is the former communications director what is he resigning from?
Its a small error but annoying.

He’d been demoted from that job after the concall was revealed, but still worked for the NEA until today.

Sergant had been under scrutiny after leading a controversial conference call on August 10, where he encouraged artists to create work to promote the Obama administration’s agenda. Sergant was initially removed from his post as communications director, but continued to work at the NEA.
Just two days ago, NEA Chairman Rocco Landesman defended the conference call, saying it was not a means to promote any legislative agenda and any suggestions to that end are simply false.
Still, the White House thought the incident serious enough issue new guidelines to prevent another such call and to held meetings with the chiefs of staff of the executive branch agencies to discuss rules and best practices. Administration attorneys do not believe Sergant violated any laws.

Administration attorneys do not believe Sergant violated any laws. Of course not. Liberals never "violate" laws; it's the laws that break themselves. If this had been a Republican tool, Dhimmicrats in Congress would be calling for executions without trials. It's all such a toilet.

I did not read the entire article, but I assume that Yosi wants to spend more time with his family. or his Sargent. Or whatever.

He was removed from the communications director job to another job, but no one could find out what the new job was. He was probably in limbo after resigning the communications director position, but that is harder to explain.
I guess they should have written it:
Yosi Sergant, the former National Endowment for the Arts [NEA] communications director, resigned from the NEA today. He had been in limbo since resigning as the NEA communications directors position last week in the midst of the NEA controversy over asking grantees and potential grantees on conference call to support Obama administration policies.
